Where the waters lie dark and calm… where the waters lie still in silence… do not take a dive unless you wish to end up being shred to pieces by a Praetor. From untold times, the Praetors dominate the dark waters that soak the subterranean labyrinth tunnels of the wetlands, that are found within the rocky caverns upon the surface of enormous craters, boasting of flora, a place where the coveted crystal is found.

Countless are those who have tried to possess a small piece of this valued mineral, though no one has lived to tell the tale. It is believed that Praetors populate these waters since the era of the first Sun, though it is not known for certain.

They are primitive and ferocious creatures who feed off the clusters of crystals that sprout from the water close to each pole of the planet, they are extremely territorial and won’t allow anyone to pry in their domains. Though they can collect large quantities of crystal with their destructive claws, Praetors have subdued a countless number of submarine species to help them harvest the crystal, which is later stored in extensive galleries. The females choose these galleries to secure their eggs, where their progeny can quench its thirst when they free themselves form their shell. For some strange reason, some females lay their eggs on the surface of the wetlands, forgetting them and abandoning them to their luck. Many of these eggs are stolen by the Greys, later to be trained as they please from the time of their birth using ghastly techniques made to force the young Praetors into collecting crystal for them, only to end up sometimes devoured by adult Praetors.
